West African Development Bank releases upbeat financial data, announces funding projects
The West African Development Bank (BOAD) has reported robust financial performance for 2025 and announced a series of projects for West African countries it is going to fund.
The total assets of BOAD, a multinational development institution, increased 38 per cent to an equivalent of $9.43bn in 2025 and its net profit grew 8 per cent to $74.72m during the year, the Lome-headquartered bank said in a statement.
The projects to be financed by BOAD include measures to support cotton growing in Burkina Faso and Mali, boost road transport safety in Ivory Coast and digitalise public services in Senegal, according to the statement.
